Often referred to as “steam beer,” the California common beer style is brewed with lager yeast but fermented at higher ale temperatures. Trashwave California Common Steam Beer is the Yardley Brothers and Double Haven’s unique take on the style. Less bitter than a traditional steam beer, and with the addition of fresh lemon peel, the new socially-responsible brew boasts a fruity, crisp, and refreshing kick to quench summer thirsts after cleaning trash-strewn beaches. During the brewing process, newly launched, experimental Talus™️ hops from the U.S. Pacific Northwest were used to give the beer its distinct aroma of pink grapefruits, citrus rinds, tropical fruits, and sage.
