* An excellent example of New Zealand sparkling wine made in the traditional method to be enjoyed now or over the next 5 years.
A blend of 50% Chardonnay, 46% Pinot Noir, and 4% Pinot Meunier. The nose exhibits light yeasty characters with peach and citrus aromas. An elegant palate showing a blend of peach/citrus chardonnay components followed by the light berry fruits of the pinot noir. The mouth filling mousse completes the palate that is full and persistent.
93 POINTS – Cameron Douglas MS, Summer World of Wine, September 2022 A plush, fresh bouquet and palate of sweet white peach and moments of grapefruit, a fine developing autolysis with sweet brioche and oatmeal. A fine to fuller mousse with a satin texture as it touches the palate with contrasting core fruit flavours of apple and citrus then autolysis and chalk-like mineral qualities. Well made with a lengthy finish. Best drinking from day of purchase through to 2027. GOLD – Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships, September 2022 Lovely yeasty complexed aroma. Gorgeous nose with wheat, apple, toast and cream. Silky palate, succulent fruit. Nice wine, elegant, a bit coconutty.
