This golden blonde Extra is brewed only twice a year and is intended for internal use only. After all, the monks and their guests only drink this beer occasionaly during lunch. Typical for the Extra is that it is brewed only with water, barley malt and hop cones. It shares its yeast with the doubles and the triples and is therefore also a top-fermented beer, although it contains  4.8% alcohol. The aroma is typical Westmalle and the hoppy character ensures a thirst-quenching dry aftertaste.
